Example we have carried out an in depth evaluation of remote and integral display cases..
The project was split into several stages:
1. Discussion with the client regarding display case requirements – sizes, types, performance as well as the importance of serviceability and life time cost;
2. Paper study of a wide range of cases meeting the basic requirements, comparing the published performance to select the best six for further evaluation;
3. Managing the testing of the selected cases to the relevant test standard, including liaising with the test facility and the case suppliers;
4. Investigating the ease of installation and service of each case;
5. Assessing the test results to select the cases which had the best temperature performance and most closely matched the client’s other requirements.
The client used the information provided by the testing to accurately estimate the life cycle cost of each option and now uses the cases which most closely meet the requirement of good temperature performance coupled with low lifetime ownership costs. This work subsequently won a Cooling Industry Award.
