Participation in the Carbon Trust funded Food and Drink Refrigeration Efficiency initiative which provides practical advice to users.
This included site surveys with specific advice and the publication of guides on a range of useful topics (click links to view):
Appointing and managing refrigeration contractors
Purchase of efficient refrigeration plant
Operational improvements for refrigeration systems
R22 phase out and F Gas regulations
Site specific guidance including reduction of head pressure, efficient fan motor and pump operation, efficient part load operation and reducing the heat load ››
Advice to end users (including the University of Bristol and The Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend) with practical and cost effective ways of reducing the energy use of RAC equipment;
Organisation and participation at seminars and workshops on a wide range of topics related to energy efficiency;
Preparation of Good Practice Guides and information leaflets on designing, operating, installing, servicing and maintaining energy efficient plant;
Technical support on the development of the enhanced capital allowance scheme, including the identification of the major stake holders in the scheme. This now includes ongoing work on the scheme;
Development of presentations (including a fun quiz) for use by equipment suppliers, contractors and end users to promote the principles of energy efficiency. |
